January and February!!!!!!
This is going to be the best year ever! Here is the first quarter's peek ahead!
Coming up in January we will be learning about the lives of the Presidents Abraham Lincoln and George Washington and also talk about Martin Luther King...plus continue the teachable moments from hibernating bears and other wintering animals...
In February, we celebrate Valentines Day and also focus on our teeth in dental health month.
It's Ground Hog Day!! We are playing peek a boo and singing a song about the little critter we call Phil!
Friday we will celebrate Chinese New year and talk a little about cultural ideas. We will be serving up oriental noodles, read stories about a siamese cat named ShuShu and having our own dragon dance!
Then next week, my favorite time of all Valentine's day! We'll be making boxes for valentines, having sweet treats and talking about how we love mom and dad, our friends and how to be a good friend.
In March it's Welcome Spring! A celebration of St Patricks day and also the return of flowers and animals! We will be having our St.Patricks Day celebration on Wednesday the 17th! We will have green punch, green cake and be learning a few Irish river dances! Plus we will see a short video on the history of St Patrick's Day from Veggietales.
Frogs, toads, lizards and turtles are on our nature table this month and we are talking more about getting ready to plant our mini garden for this year.
April is around the corner and that means our SPRING PARTY! Complete with easter egg hunts, candy and a chance for parents to all meet and greet one another while enjoying some refreshments. I will send home more info at the end of the month.

MAY!!!! Mother's Day was one of the many focuses this month as well as learning about the Rainforest, sequencing and getting our hands DIRTY in the new sandbox!! =) We spent time refreshing ourselves about street safety as we gear up for the trips to the park in June!
JUNE! SCHOOL'S OUT! Party time! Under the sea themes and heading to the ocean for lotsa water play!

The fourth of July was a highlight as well as learning about our nation, practicing the Pledge Of Allegience and the history of our flag. Every Monday and Wed is park day, and Thursdays are the water days!

During August it iS HOT HOT HOT! We are discussing our senses, desert animals and patterns! SCHOOL STARTS AUGUST 17TH!
Congrats to two of my boys who are kindergarteners this year and also big time yahoo for three of my boys going to Grace Early childhood's two day program! Get ready to have some classroom fun!
